Sugar Syrup - “Ater” قطر

This is an easy recipe for simple syrup or sugar syrup “Ater” قطر . It is made with water, sugar, lemon juice and infused with orange blossom water. It is used on many Arabic Sweets such as Baklawa, hareseh, namoora, awameh, kenafeh and more.

“This sugar syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for a few weeks so you can always make ahead of time if you have multiple desserts you are making on different days ”

Here is what you need:

1 cup water

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

2 teaspoons orange blossom water or rosewater
