This is an easy gluten free, vegan recipe that will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth and give you energy. Made with 3 simple natural ingredients.
My family and I learned this simple but oh so sweet recipe while we were traveling in Morocco. In the old city of Fez, we took a cooking class with a local chef. He offered us these dates stuffed with walnuts right before starting the class. As you bite into it, you taste a sweetness with a yummy crunch that just explodes in your mouth. It was both filling and oh so satisfying!
“Medjool dates are a great source of healthy nutrients. They offer a variety of vitamins and minerals such as iron, magnesium, potassium, copper and B vitamins. They also offer a significant amount of fiber ”
The Moroccan Chef said these dates combined with walnuts and honey are the ultimate brain food. They will give us good energy and focus as mothers in Morocco give them to their children before any exams at school. I loved that story so much, I began giving dates and walnuts to my kids especially before any sporting activity as they are filled with nutrition and boost their energy!
Here is what you need:
1. Medjool Dates
2. Walnuts
3. Honey
Split the date the long way. Place walnut in the middle and drizzle with honey! And and you are done!! They make a great addition to any cheese platter!
